Earn $30.00/hour + $7,500 yearly mileage stipend

Position Description

The Registered Nurse will assist psychiatrists in all clinically related administrative responsibilities. Provides liaison with staff/programs of Merakey and external referral sources and appropriate medical and psychiatric consultation to staff, clients, and families. Assists psychiatrists in development and maintenance of procedures and in obtaining medical and psychiatric information. Assures necessary flow of medical and psychiatric information from psychiatrist to others.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:


* A minimum of one (1) year current nursing experience is preferred.
* A current Louisiana Nursing License
* Behavioral Health experience preferred
* A genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
* In addition, a current and valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
* Willing to work in a community setting with members diagnosed with SMIs and Co-Occurring Disorders.
* This is a community based position that requires travel throughout the parish.
